Humor Side Comics
Although personal preference ultimately governs humor, a variety of other elements, such as context, geography, culture, maturity, level of education, and IQ, can also have an impact. Because of its physical characteristics, slapstick plays like Tom and Jerry cartoons or Punch and Judy puppet shows, for instance, may be appealing to young children.
On the other hand, more sophisticated comic techniques, like satire, call for an understanding of its social significance and context and hence appeal to a more mature audience.
