Humor Comics: Bill’s career as a cartoonist began when he started copying cartoons from comic strips, the New Yorker, and editorial cartoons in the fifth grade. Bill was designated the best editorial cartoonist for weeklies in the state of Kansas for a few years by the Kansas Press Association after winning a cartoon contest in the Saturday Evening Post. Bill thinks that before entertaining others, cartoonists should amuse themselves. As much as he is enjoying writing Free Range, he hopes his readers will too.
